| Alex Oag |
It is with great sadness we announce that Alex Oag died suddenly in the zoo on 29th March, 2010 aged 71.
Alex joined us around four years ago as a volunteer after retiring as an Engineer due to ill health. He dedicated his time to carrying out all the odd jobs required in and around the zoo and much more.
He was a close colleague and a loyal friend to everyone in the zoo and loved to pass on his wealth of knowledge and experience of life to both young and old.
Many of our regular visitors loved to stop and have a chat with him whenever they were in the zoo and all the animals loved him as he did his rounds and gave them treats from his secret pocket.
Rest in Peace Alex. You will be greatly missed by all.

| Who are we? |
Five Sisters Zoo Park was establishedback in 2005 and is the only
wildlife attraction centre in West Lothian. We are located
in Polbeth just two miles east of West Calder.
What started as a private collection of animals to entertain children while their parents shopped in the former garden centre, has now grown into an exciting animal park.
The zoo is privately owned and run by Brian and Shirley Curran with the help of the keepers Graeme, Lynn and Vicky. We also have help from our large team of dedicated volunteers.

We have a wide variety of mammals, birds and reptiles
from all over the world on show and we are sure you
will find our park a fun and educational day out
for all ages.
