PLEASE NOTE: Leaping Lemurs Soft Play is CLOSED until further notice. This building will be converted into a new Reptile House. A brand new indoor play facility will follow shortly, so please bear with us in the meantime.

Concession*: £10.45
Family Ticket (2 adults/2 children): £34.00 + £7.95 for each additional child.

There are currently five interdisciplinary work booklets available to support your visit. These include pre-, during- and post- visit activities with accompanying teachers notes and learning outcomes. On confirming a booking the appropriate booklet will be forwarded by email.

TEETH, DIET & FOOD CHAINS: This topic investigates food chains and ecosystems, animal diets with practical links to the maths curriculum. PREVIEW THE TEACHER'S NOTES

HABITATS & ADAPTATION: This topic explores animal habitats around the world, classification of animals according to their characteristics and investigating how species survive. PREVIEW THE TEACHER'S NOTES

CLASSIFICATION & CHARACTERISTICS: This topic collaboratively explores the classification of living things and pupils will investigate, collate, organise and present information with links to the maths curriculum. PREVIEW THE TEACHER'S NOTES

LIFE CYCLE & REPRODUCTION: This topic covers the main stages of the life cycle, investigates inheritance and examines how humans show parental concern for their young.

The above topics and accompanying work booklets have been compiled by a local teacher through the Excellence in Education Business Links (EEBL) programme.

If you would like to discuss tailoring the animal handling session to these or another class topic, please contact us in advance prior to your group visit.
