We have a wide range facilities and we try to cater for everyones needs, but if there is something else you think we could provide as a service, please let us know.
Seasonal Extras

Seasonal Extras

During peak times and weather permitting, a number of additional facilities will be available within the zoo including kiddies rides, a bouncy castle and donkey and tractor rides.

If this is your main reason for visiting the Zoo please call beforehand to check if these are on, to avoid disappointment on arrival.
Ticket desk

Ticket desk

Our ticket desk is located just inside the main entrance to the Zoo. You can purchase your Zoo tickets here and remember to keep hold of your tickets so that the kids can get their £2.00 discount into the play areas.

We accept card payments, although there is no cash back facility on site. You can also purchase the handling session tickets (£1 per person) and Feed the Lemur tickets (£5 per person) here. It's best to purchase these additional tickets when you arrive to ensure you get the times you want! Unfortunately none of the sessions can be booked in advance.
Tearoom

Tearoom

The Tearoom is open from 10am till 4pm from April to October and offers a selection of reasonably priced light lunches including soup, sandwiches, toasties and paninis.

A selection of hot/cold drinks, cakes, biscuits and sweets are also available here. Children's lunch boxes at £3.00 are always popular and include a sandwich, yoghurt, fruit, sweets, crisps and a drink.

During the winter months the Tearoom will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Drinks
Out with these days drinks, snacks, soup etc are available all day in the play areas!
Picnic Area

Picnic Area

A large Picnic Area is situated within the Zoo itself and there are a number of picnic benches as well as a large grassy area for kids to run about on.

During peak times, both the ice cream parlour and a snack bar are open in this area. The snack bar serves burgers/hot dogs, rolls on bacon and sausage, chips, and a selection of hot and cold drinks all reasonably priced.

Out gift shop is located next to the ticket desk and stocks a range of cuddly toys, books, jewellery and lots of "pocket money" priced toys.
Toilet Facilities

Toilet Facilities

Toilets are situated within the Zoo itself close by the black and white ruff lemur enclosure and also in the Tearoom by the main entrance. There are two disabled toilets, both of which have a baby changing area.
Car parking

Car parking

There is a large, free car park with plenty of room for coaches and mini buses. You are free to come and go to the car park from the zoo during the day, but please keep your ticket to hand.
Health & Safety

Zoo Warning Signs

A number of the enclosures round the zoo display warning signs about animals biting. As you are able to get up really close to many of the animals, we would ask that you supervise children at all times, so that there are no injuries.

First Aid Points

Are located in the Tearoom, ticket desk and soft play area.

Health & Safety

Our aim is for all visitors to have a fun, safe and exciting day out at the Zoo and play areas. There are plenty of hand gel dispensers throughout the Zoo and we ask that children are encouraged to use these at all times.
